2011 and Me!!

I actually have the very habit of sharing my thoughts about the year that past by every year on the 31st of December. So here it goes..

In the year 2011, I experienced most of the phases : downfall, rise, luck, happiness, surprises everything and everything..I can proudly tell that it was a complete year for me..

Realised how people around are, how am I to them…A stupid bunch of friends with whom I crazily hanged out and laughed to my hearts content ..

Guess that’s it…Have become a bit lazy to write more..

Hoping to make 2012 a memorable one!!!!!

And the Beauty of Nature Continues

Getting up in the morning, I got a feeling that the temperature has reduced and mist was visible..My thought reversed back the lane behind few months back wherein I would get drenched and used to crib stating when would this season finish..Den again I wished, hope it was Summer or spring where in I could dance and rejoice and live the living to it’s optimum peak.

Man!!! I guess this is what is called as Nature. Nature is pretty “Natural” in all it’s actions. We never know when would it rain or when would it be cold or when would it be so hot that we feel like staying in cool indoors.

The case is the same with all Birds as well wherein they migrate to compatible environments and the unity in those small creatures called Ants is also seen then wherein they engage themselves in saving food for the next season.

In between all these, mind makes a sudden twist and turn wherein it asks what if these changes does not happen, what if there is no change in season, what if birds do not migrate, what if ants do not save food at all…??And this what if question goes on and on.

And the answer to this is that, a supernatural power always exists behind all these changes and it occurs according to the will and wish of that power. If that would not have existed, and there would have been no changes at all, then life would have been as boring as it has to be.

And this is the Beauty of Nature continues, which is crazily admirable….

Yamun Kalyani

"Saathiya Ye tune Kya Kia
 Belia yen tune Kya Kia
 Yu na kabhi karna intazaar
 Intna Karona mujhe Pyaar"

The music queen or better known as Lata Mangeshkar of South India Smt.KS. Chitra made her debute to Hindi Music Industry with this song which is from the movie LOVE, which became the greatest of the greatest hits of all times and this euphony is hummed even today..The only secret behind such a wondrous song is the Raaga Yamun Kalyani..

There are many many songs sung with this raaga, and it is the Music director's favourite  as well in the past , today and in day's to come. It is for sure that the song becomes a great hit if the tune of the song is made in this Raaga.

"Mungaru maleye, yenu ninna halnigala Leele,Ninna mugila saale, dhareya korala premada maale","Nee AmruthaDhare" , "Tunturu Alli neera hadu" and the list crazily goes on when it comes to movies which have songs of Yamun Kalyani Raaga.

"Krishna Nee Begane Baaro" and "Alaypayuthe Kanna" are the masterpieces proving to be the a best examples of this Raaga since time immemorial.

The Raaga Yamun Kalyani adds melody to whatever the lyrics is..It is simply superb,a treat to the ears of any human being and this I believe it has the ability to drag anyone towards music!!!!

And the Butterfly flew again!!

Lazing on a chair on an afternoon, she saw a Butterfly which was flying all over the garden. It was a very cute multicoloured one with big wings and the wings were flipping every now and then.

She saw it search for a flowering  plant and then when it found one it sat on the plant sucking it's nectar.Once it suck the nectar of this plant, it went in search of another plant and this continued.Observing this she found a simily between the Multicoloured Butterfly and herself or rather humanbeings..

Just as the butterfly sucks the nectar of a flower and then fly away in search of another plant, so are the Humanbeings. Once they attain what they actually want, they crave and move towards another one. Here there is Emphasis on the word “Once again” wherein it is a continual process. It's not just the word satisfaction, but something more.Something which can be reached, something which can be obtained and that can make life more beautiful than what it is at the moment.Ultimately everything happens in search of happiness. This search for Happiness continues and continues as it is the only sole source of Humanbeings existance.

Poet Sri.GopalKrishnaAdiga in one of his greatest composition states the same." Iruvudellava bittu
iradudaredge tudivude Jeevana, Yava Mohan Murali kareyitu Doora teerake Ninnanu"..
Human beings crave for more and leave what ever they have at the moment and set themselves in
search for what ever they crave for. This is what is life.....

And then again once a goal is achieved humanbeings fly again over in search of something more!!

Independence and Independent. How Independent are we?

August 15th 1947 is etched permanently in the minds and hearts of every Indian as it was the day India gained Independence from the British rule which spawned for over a century. This is the day which is marked red in the Indian as well as the world history. It’s been 64 yrs since India became free from British rule and since then students are taught about the struggle which the freedom fighters under went to make India free from British rule and make it a democratic country.
On the day of Independence, National flag is hoisted and national anthem is sung with pride and honor and sweets distributed among the masses and few patriotic songs are sung with all euphony and speeches are made in all honour of the souls which strived and struggled for the Indian Independence. The same routinue is being followed since 64yrs and would continue in years to come.
I am not being very sarcastic about this as well. With due respect the tradition that is being followed since ages, what irks me the most is that, when we think of the existing scenarios of today, I don’t think Independence has done much to our country. It would have been better if we would be ruled by a super power than being ruled by these selfish idiosyncratic politicians who see only personal gains in whatever they do, rather than working towards the development of the country and making it the best place in all aspects.
Life is different than it was 64 yrs ago. A whole new generation is in picture. New ideas, new inventions, new discoveries..Oops!!Hang on…Are we basically doing it??Say one in 1 lakh would be doing it with great difficulty, with stipulated resources. It was when Britishers ruled India that Postal system and railways was introduced and this is used till now. This can be considered as a boon to Indians as it would have taken ages for Indians to implement the same if it was not introduced then with the political scenarios out there. The best example being the implementation of metro in Bangalore.
Nothing is as definite as it has to be. All the skilled lot population of the country prefer to stay outside India as it provides better platform for their inventions and discoveries as India would not have given them the required encouragement and support. Many Indians have outshined else where. Other places attract skilled Indians at very easily with the dollar rate being more when compared to that of a rupee, with no corruption and Injustice shown and real encouragement shown to people who want to excel in their field of Interest.
Yeah, some people may argue with my thought stating India requires some time to stand up on it’s own, as it has a very big heart of giving shelter to a number of people of numerous caste and creed. As well as people can also tell something about the ancient times as Indian has a history of thousands of years, it’s cultural heritage and what not. Everyone does understand all these and are proud of the same .But then how long is the biggest question. How long can you just accept all these and then wait and wait for the day there would be a progress which has not happened since 64 years.
There were days when downtrodden people were given proper privelages, reservations and rights, but then what’s the status if the same today. They used all those previlages and have progressed in life and have reached greater heights. They are trying to use the same kind of reservation for their younger generations as well which is completely incorrect. Reservations were given to people to come up, and when they have attained the same why should it be used again. This concept is completely out of bounds and logic and when the good people of India try to bring a new rule regarding the same there would be protests form them who are supposed to be right up there and have reached greater heights. They  should not forget that once when the downtrodden people needed support, voice was raised and they got it.They should respect it and accept and thank people for the support and now understand the present scenario and gel along with it.
Coming to our so called politicians, they gain power by giving money, staying in power make money and give money when their power is about to be snatched by someone else and this has been going on since 64 yrs. There is something called as TDS(tax deducted at source) and also tax over the commodities we buy.We pay taxes for what ever we do and still it is not being used properly. This is either used by the so called politicians for their personal gains or the higher rank officials. This is how it is today.
Coming to the so called security , guess India is ranked as one of those countries which is not a very secure place to stay. Underworld don’s backed by the most powerful people of the country rule. They don’t mind taking away innocent lives. To support and hide the mistakes of the so called Underworld don’s  the government sees to it that if a big mishap happens, they take it very easily and blame the terrorists rather than their own support groups who would have done it. Terriorism is no exception again. These terrorists are so Idiosyncratic  fanatical that they don’t realize the value of innocent lives and they take one, when asked why..They tell Jihad and what not..
In such scenarios how would India grow. There is no room left wide open to state that India would be a developed country nor is there any sliver lining that would state that India will be developed one day.
Was watching this movie called “Nayak” ,starring Anil Kapoor in the lead role, who stands against  all these corrupt politicians and  builds the nation, a dream nation, a nation where everyone craves and loves to live. Why cant we derive good things from that and drive out all the so called “Political forces” that is hindering the nations growth  towards development and prosperity. Why cant we have a system of 2 ministers for each portfolio and why cant IAS and IPS officers rule us than the so called uneducated corrupt politicians. By this guess we can avoid all these so called 2G,CWG,Mining scams and drive the nation towards achievements and progress rather than getting the nation’s name as well as progress hindered so that the tax we pay is made used effectively and efficiently.
Hence in conclusion…I would like to give my honest opinion..With all the current state of affairs happening, the nation and the well educated youth need to raise their voice and get into politics and rule the country rather than these inefficient politicians and make use of the Independence that our great freedom fighters gained with lot of struggle and perseverance so that the emerging  thought of “The days were better pre-independence can be made untrue” so that right utilization of Independence and Independent India can happen and nation can be called as “Developed” rather than being still “Developing” as it is since 64 years.

F*R*I*E*N*D*S

As kids we used to adore other kids and get attracted to them and played with them, and as we grew up we used to get attracted to people who shared similar ideas and used to spend more time with them..There would be few out of the lot who carved a niche for themselves in our heart and mind that they remain with us in all our happiness and sorrows, in times of difficulties and in easy times, wipe our tears and hug us when in distress, kick us when we reach the heights of stupidity, pat our back when we reach greater heights and participate and be a part of the most craziest task we do..

A big thanks to all my dearest of the dear friends who made me live my life to the fullest and who became a part of my life and hoping this friendship continues in ages to come!!!

Small Happiness

" If you have dinner, I 'll surely get a doll for you tomorrow", said mom, when I was very reluctant to eat as a little girl. With the eagerness to get a small doll I had dinner and mom got me a doll next day.

As I grew older, there was a time wherein "Kaho Na Pyar Hai" was such a hit and I badly wanted to catch up that movie. When I asked my parents they told that fare well this time in the monthly test and we will take you.I studied well without going out to play for long hrs with the only aim being tests as I would be granted what I actually craved for..

I grew up and went to college and the same things continued.Mom and Dad never used to tell no,but then there was a clause and I had to fulfill it for me to get what I craved for.The happiness I got after I got what I wanted had no bounds.Everytime I felt as if I was on Cloud 9.

Now that I am independent and working, I never ask parents for things as I used to. They proudly tell that our daughter is Independent and has grown up to take care of herself. That is so nice to hear of them. But then coming back to the small happiness about which I am talking about, that small happiness has no room as it had when I was not independent or rather to tell until I started working!!!

I still remember the day when mom got me the Doll and I was so happy getting it and played with it for hrs.I do still remember the day when I scored the highest marks in the test, but I was more happy when my parents took me to that movie.Such small happiness have nothing to equal. We feel so dam happy and contented after getting what ever we wanted after doing some work towards it and craving for it for a short span of time.

These are the small happiness which man craves for.Getting a job,salary,weekends..are fine. But then, when I ask myself am I happy with all this, the answer which I get is no..I can now go and buy what I want.I need not ask small things from my parents as I get it within minutes as those things are well within my reach.I need not crave for things anymore. But then, that small happiness is lost wherein I used to crave for things and get it.

Guess now the mindset or rather the very definition of the word "small happiness" has to change and we should find small happiness by getting and giving gifts, surprises, hanging out with near and dear ones etc etc..All those small, very minute things bring great happiness not only to us but also in the eyes of those near and dear ones. This can only happen in this so called fast evolving world where in we find some minutes in our busy schedules.Else life becomes pretty monotonous and boring.

Come on!!!Boring and Monotonous wont's sound nice anyways to anyone after all everyone wants to be happy:)

The way I feel Music!!!

On a Friday evening as usual on my way back home I just plugged in my Earphones and started hearing to those songs which were in my playlist which is my daily course of action while travelling to and from office..But then..All of a sudden a thought creeped into my mind when I heard Shreya Ghosal's songs consecutively, that " Music always calms souls and takes us to a different place, a fantasy land"...

Be it any genre of music,be it any language,Music is always the same..It just calms souls.Coming down to the very components of Music we have the Orchestra troop or rather the Musical Instruments, a director to set the tune as well as to Co-Ordinate between the Musical Instruments and the Singer..The Singers take up the Center stage and everything revolves around them...The sweet voice they spell out is the best of the best Euphony one can ever experience. Some of these singers are truly gifted and others through practice they reach such heights spreading Euphony directly into the souls of those millions of listeners...

I just love to hear those songs sung by Lata mangeshkar,Chitra,Shreya Ghosal when it comes to the movies. But then on a classical note, two people have carved a niche in my memories since years .One is my Classical music Guru and another is my own lovely Grandma ..Ever since I started schooling, I was made to learn music. With all pampering from mom and grandmom, I used to go to my Music teacher quite irregularly early in the morning, say once in a blue moon and learn the basics of Music. She would never scold me for not being there to learn for days and days. Finally everyone decided that, I would get that seriousness only if I would take up Music exams. So then started off my journey with Music wherein initially I felt I was being forced, but then gradually when I started singing, learning the raaga, tala, I actually felt it to be nice..A great feeling when we sing..

Here a thought which my mom and grandmom tells comes to my mind."Anyplace,anytime...Music is all your's..You can sing whenever you want to..Whenever you are sad you can sing, whenever you are happy you can sing...It's a companion for lifetime..Nothing can beat it...". I have never seen such a multitasking lady who manages house being a very great cook, teaches how to prepare "Hoobatti or rather Hatti making" what is call in Kannada or in English those decorative things made out of cotton and in the due course of preperation of these cotton decoratives, she build up poems, puts ragas to them and sings. This is my Grandmom.!!!.Hats off to her..A good singer, good artist, most adorable person and a lovely grandmom to all of us.

Coming to the classical tenure, I just love hearing Jagadhodharana sung by Bombay Jayashri.Such an amazing singer..And not to forget the Keerthanas sung in the movie "Morning Raaga" is amazing. It has a blend of Classical as well as modern ways of singing..or rather Fusion music as of today..Also along with those songs of Bollywood, I love to hear those Bhavageethes which puts a great amount of life to the thoughts of great poets. The western tunes that has always adored me is that of Celien Deo and Bryan Adams..

So this is the way I see music..I see it everywhere,I experience whenever I want to..This is how it is a companion for me for lifetime., an integral part of me!!!

Then and Now!!!

When I was a small girl, I always used to see the eagerness in my mom s eyes and the enthusiasm in her to wait for the letters she used to get from her mom. Later as I grew up, I saw her dialing her mom s no and speak to her over the telephone. It was a notion and habit that as the std call rates used to be cheap at night, she made sure that she called and spoke to her mom only at night or early mornings. Then with the advent of mobile phone she saw to it that she called from the land line to that one single mobile no that was present at her mom s place. When I got admitted to college and had to live away from her, I was granted the privilege to possess a mobile phone only under the condition that I would use it only to receive calls from home and would not unnecessarily message my friends. It wap the time when hundred free messages was in vogue!

When I was about to complete my studies and graduate I wanted a much better hand set as the handset which I had was outdated den. I was granted that with great fore thought, only after I was placed in the company I work for now. After I started working, I was granted the permission to buy another sim of the local network provider as I was in a different state then. I got the chance to call my mom now and then as the call rates were cheap over the mobile when compared to that of the land line.

When I reached my home state,I was all independent. But then with many rounds of discussion regarding who would be using my old handset, I was granted the permission to purchase a new handset. Samsung corby fantasized me. So I got one for me!

I got the sim converted from pre paid to post paid so that I can speak to my mom as and when I want as the call charges are free! Unfortunately lost my cell and my cell had become such an integral part of my life that I rushed and got another cell again. This time it was the best! I had got Samsung galaxy which runs using android os. And through its compatibility with Google I can access my mails anytime and every time as well as keep in touch with friends through Google talk. And now with one of its other application I am writing this blog.

Now comes the question why am I writing all this.?

Only because I feel there has been a great advancement in technology and people 's thoughts. Where were we and where are we. We were in a state where in we had to wait for days to get a letter or hear someone speak and now,we can hear and get what we want provided we have enough currency in our mobile if its pre paid!! :P Where were we,when we had to go to browsing centers to check mails and where are we now wherein mails just reach us just like messages reaching the Inbox.

There is no comparison to what we were and to what are we today. Let this advancement continue and reach greater heights but then, let us not forget those old days where in we used to crave for things.

Let us use these to the fullest with a Constructive mindset and not with that of a Destructive one!!!

Naam Gum Jayega

I happened to hear this song "Naam gum jayega" from the movie "Kinara" who's Lyrics is written by Gulzar, very accidentally when I was in the verge of downloading some other song and was completely speechless. The song is soulfully sung by the Queen of music LataMangeshkar and the Lyrics of the same..It's just a meaty..Nothing can substantiate it's meaning..

"NaamgumJayega,Cheharaayehbadaljayega
Meri Awwaz hi pehchaan hai,gar yaad rahe"

This takes us to a completely different world which drives us to give some work to our thought process. It makes us think, even we need to do something more memorable, something more meaningful, something which atleast one life thinks about us when we depart from the place we are. We need to carve a niche for ourselves by doing something good and nice to others, so that they remember us by our deeds...

Here this song has it's own meaning and the singer is herself the best example. When we think about the Queen of Music Lata Mangeshkar, she is Immortal. She's soulfully sung songs in such a way that her beatific Euphony directly takes us to a different world and stays in our mind for years. There is no count to the number of times the same song gets hummed by millions around the globe!!!Such is the permanence. These Euphonious songs have changed minds and calmed souls. So through the language called MUSIC she's carved a niche for herself.

The beginning lines of the song aptly suits her very living which states my name might not be there,my true existence may not be there or rather I may come down as a different person with a different name, but then my recognition is only through my voice,my music and only music.

All in her thoughts!!!

They surround her all over, they follow her where ever she goes...and those are hers..Her thoughts..her only thoughts..It is just hers..

When she was little kid, they followed her asking why does it rain while she used to play in those showers of rain, why are the little sparrows always on the trees while mom always used to show her those and managed putting those small spoons of food into her mouth and was more than happy whenever she was successful even if half the bowl of food was in the little kid's stomach.

When she was a little gal, her thoughts again followed her asking why should she know those colourful small and big letters when it was time for her play, why should she go to school and sit in those classes when there was a huge ground to play.

When she reached her teens, her thoughts following her asked her why does mom ask her to concentrate on her studies and rarely allowed her to play for long hours, why are people around her catching a glipmse of her whenever there was a chance and why was she doing the same as well.

When she reached her sweet late teens, her thoughts got a new look where she began to dream in her thoughts about a handsome prince just as in Cindrella, thinking her to be one..

When she was about to complete her college, her thoughts changed drastically where she wanted to achieve something more, something nice so that her mom who used to feel tired feeding her naughty little one becomes proud of her young gal..

When she completed her college, her thoughts followed her again asking why cant things be the same as it was before she left home, why cant she get back to her mom and be with her as she was when she was a little kid..

When she started working, her thoughts gave her an answer as she realized that she had transformed from a flippant, naughty gal to a serious gal,why does mom always tell her that she had grown up to be an young lady now..

Her thoughts followed, followed and followed through all the phases she passed through. But still she feels very young and very naughty just like a kid many a times. Her thoughts always drag her to the windows whenever it rains, but never lets her physically to go out and get drenched, never lets her to play with all those cute little kids, spending their holidays..,never lets her get those long summer holidays where she got cozy in her grand mom's arms and play the whole day with her cousins and her thoughts just gets back to those days and craves to get back there, but life already has something more to think and give to her...!!!

All these finally becomes her only treasurable memories that can be cherished throughout her life ...

Happiness!!!

"The search for happiness is one of the chief sources of Unhappiness..!!!!"..All confused as to why am I thinking about Happiness all of sudden.? So was I...

When it comes to my personal front my thoughts always conflict stating that am I happy and contented or not..If yes then was I not happy until before and if not was I ever happy before..??All confused by my thought..

Here comes a very small analysis.."Happiness I feel is a state of mind!!!".It is something that has to come from within. If we get whatever we want or craved for since long we say that we are happy else say we are sad and confused. Life is actually a journey and so is happiness. As we balance life, which is a mixture of joys and sorrows so should we balance the state of being happy or sad in this journey called life.

Personally I have always got whatever I actually wanted..Even now I am pretty much contented with what all I have. Yeah..I do have certain dreams which I want to bring to reality. Dream is a state of thought which keeps us active and gives us sort of enthusiasm to achieve something more. When we achieve this, happiness automatically blooms in our heart and mind. Again we start dreaming of a new thing and this continues. But accidentally when we don't achieve what we had dreamt there comes the disaster. We would be totally shattered and feel this is the end..This is called sadness..

So if a sort of balanced life is lead then happiness and sadness will have the same amount of doors open to them in our lives. Nothing will have an exception.

"Happiness is the feeling you're feeling when you want to keep feeling it".....This thought is so true....
