The way I feel Music!!!

On a Friday evening as usual on my way back home I just plugged in my Earphones and started hearing to those songs which were in my playlist which is my daily course of action while travelling to and from office..But then..All of a sudden a thought creeped into my mind when I heard Shreya Ghosal's songs consecutively, that " Music always calms souls and takes us to a different place, a fantasy land"...

Be it any genre of music,be it any language,Music is always the same..It just calms souls.Coming down to the very components of Music we have the Orchestra troop or rather the Musical Instruments, a director to set the tune as well as to Co-Ordinate between the Musical Instruments and the Singer..The Singers take up the Center stage and everything revolves around them...The sweet voice they spell out is the best of the best Euphony one can ever experience. Some of these singers are truly gifted and others through practice they reach such heights spreading Euphony directly into the souls of those millions of listeners...

I just love to hear those songs sung by Lata mangeshkar,Chitra,Shreya Ghosal when it comes to the movies. But then on a classical note, two people have carved a niche in my memories since years .One is my Classical music Guru and another is my own lovely Grandma ..Ever since I started schooling, I was made to learn music. With all pampering from mom and grandmom, I used to go to my Music teacher quite irregularly early in the morning, say once in a blue moon and learn the basics of Music. She would never scold me for not being there to learn for days and days. Finally everyone decided that, I would get that seriousness only if I would take up Music exams. So then started off my journey with Music wherein initially I felt I was being forced, but then gradually when I started singing, learning the raaga, tala, I actually felt it to be nice..A great feeling when we sing..

Here a thought which my mom and grandmom tells comes to my mind."Anyplace,anytime...Music is all your's..You can sing whenever you want to..Whenever you are sad you can sing, whenever you are happy you can sing...It's a companion for lifetime..Nothing can beat it...". I have never seen such a multitasking lady who manages house being a very great cook, teaches how to prepare "Hoobatti or rather Hatti making" what is call in Kannada or in English those decorative things made out of cotton and in the due course of preperation of these cotton decoratives, she build up poems, puts ragas to them and sings. This is my Grandmom.!!!.Hats off to her..A good singer, good artist, most adorable person and a lovely grandmom to all of us.

Coming to the classical tenure, I just love hearing Jagadhodharana sung by Bombay Jayashri.Such an amazing singer..And not to forget the Keerthanas sung in the movie "Morning Raaga" is amazing. It has a blend of Classical as well as modern ways of singing..or rather Fusion music as of today..Also along with those songs of Bollywood, I love to hear those Bhavageethes which puts a great amount of life to the thoughts of great poets. The western tunes that has always adored me is that of Celien Deo and Bryan Adams..

So this is the way I see music..I see it everywhere,I experience whenever I want to..This is how it is a companion for me for lifetime., an integral part of me!!!
